Sivota

Mourtos Harbour lies in Limenas Mourtos Bay in the town of Syvota. One part of the harbour is protected by a rectangular breakwater. The water depth is up to 4 m here and yachts moor stern-to or alongside at the breakwater. This area is occupied by local boats and only has one or two spaces for yachts. Yachts moor stern-to at the town quay at a water depth of up to 2 m. In some places it is even shallower, therefore pay attention to the water depth when mooring. The harbour is protected, it can be dangerous with wind from the W or NW. People say that these winds have damaged yachts by pushing them against the quay or mole. Expect a swell when these winds blow and from the excursion boats. It can then be uncomfortable to moor in the harbour. A variety of restaurants and shopping amenities can be found in the town.
