Longos is a small resort on the north-east side of the island of Paxos. The actual harbour is too small for yachts, therefore the only place available is the small concrete jetty, which has room for about 7 yachts on the inner and outer sides. Boats moor here with a bow anchor and stern lines. The sea bed is mud and seaweed and has a good holding in most parts. Mooring rings are set in concrete. Water and electricity can be obtained for a small fee (effective 2015: 500 litres of water and electricity for 10 euros plus a deposit for the magnetic stick). You have to get the magnetic stick at the Vassilis tavern opposite.
The approach is simple as long as you keep far away enough from the cliffs.
There used to be a factory in Longos that manufactured olive oil soap. Today, all that's left of the building is a ruin and a high chimney. Tourism is now the most important source of income. There is a gravel beach right in front of the former factory.
There are a number of taverns in the village specialised in fish and sea animals such as lobster as well as two small mini-markets and a bakery.
