The water is 4 metres deep right at the quay wall. Then the seabed drops rapidly to 15-20 metres, so that boats will need a very long chain. A few flotillas moor here in summer.
In the inner part, at the eastern part of the quay wall, the water depth of 2.8-4 metres is still adequate and boats have to let out noticeably less chain.
Here, in the inner part of the quay, boats are protected at 3-4 metres. Boats cast anchor at about 8-12 metres and take lines ashore. Fishing boats also use the quay.
