Situated in the natural harbor, near the modern tourist village Suha Punta on the island of Rab a small harbor Veli Žal is located. Yachts up to 8 m in length lay in water depths of 1-3 m in the hotel harbor with mooring lines. Electricity and water are connected. A buoy field as a backup is in direct proximity to the harbor. The port is dangerous during southerly winds and should be abandoned. At the bottom of the bay and the harbor are some old concrete blocks, so caution is recommended when maneuvering. A restaurant and a small store are in the village.
