Von hier aus soll Odysseus mit seiner Flotte nach Troja gestartet sein. Zu Fuß gelangt man 2 km bergauf über eine Straße in den schönen kleinen Ort Stavros. Etwas nördlich des Ortes liegt die archäologische Ausgrabungsstätte "School of Homer" bei dem es sich um den Königspalast des Odysseus handeln könnte. Wenn man keine Ankerwache an Bord zurücklassen möchte kann man auch von Frikes aus nach Stavros wandern.
