Stavros Harbour is small and lies in Polis Bay in the west of Ithaca near the small village of Palikata. The harbour rarely has spaces for visiting yachts as it is mainly occupied by local boats. Only yachts with a draught of less than 1.3 m can moor here. In some places the water is even shallower. The harbour is protected from all winds. Alternatively, boats can anchor in the bay, but it can get dangerous when a SW wind blows so watch out for downbursts. Palikata only consists of a few houses. There are a variety of taverns, cafés and shopping amenities in Stavros town, only a few minutes inland.
