The seaport in Lindau is an all-round sheltered harbour that is particularly suitable for large ships with a corresponding width that cannot find space in the sailing clubs located a little further east. wards the entrance. As the Lindau seaport is also used by the BSB ships, the harbor entrance is usually also easily navigable for yachts with a deeper draft. Commercial shipping has priority.
Lindau's harbour entrance is considered one of the most beautiful on the whole of Lake Constance: set against a spectacular Alpine and lake panorama, the Bavarian Lion and the lighthouse on the harbour pier are the island's landmarks and can be seen from afar.
Lindau harbour offers the following infrastructure:
Electricity
Sanitary facilities
WC dump station
Trash disposal
The sanitary facilities are located opposite the beer garden, right next to the public toilets. Access via code, which can be requested from the harbor master. Guest berths are set to green or are allocated by the harbor master. From 4 pm, the mooring fee must be paid even without an overnight stay.
The island of Lindau covers an area of 68 hectares, making it the second largest island in Lake Constance. Some of the buildings in the old town have centuries-old facades and, together with the winding alleyways, create an almost Mediterranean flair. Many bars, restaurants and small boutiques invite you to linger. A grocery store (discounter) is located opposite the city museum.
