Nice anchorage nexrt to Symi bay. Anchor off on 6-10m north or south of the quay. Very few yachts can also go stern-to, bow-to or alongside to the quay, keeping space for local yachts. The bay offers good shelter from the prevailing winds, but strong gusts may occur.
Usually the bay is quite but a transport ship and the water tanker sometimes disturb the calm. Symi town can be reached by bus (stop directly at the quay). The holding of the anchor is moderate, the ground consist of sand, mud and seaweed.
