Units heading into the harbor should contact port management at least 30 minutes in advance via VHF ch. 08 or 16, informing them of the estimated time of arrival, type of unit, name and nationality of vessel, origin and draft. The seabed is muddy with dock depths from 3 to 11 meters, and the lighthouses and beacons offer good visibility with a range of up to 7 miles.
