Apollonos is a small fishing village on the north coast of the island of Naxos. It is protected by a breakwater where yachts can moor with a long line. Boaters just find rarely free berths.
Beyond the mole, which encloses the fishing harbour, yachts can moor bow-to or stern-to at a water depth of up to 3 m. Be careful here as the water depth varies. Yachts should not moor at the breakwater south of the fishing harbour as the water is less than 1 m deep in many areas. The harbour is protected, it only becomes dangerous when an east wind blows. The harbour should be vacated when there is a strong wind. There are several taverns and a few small stores in the village. The unfinished statue of Apollo is located inland and is within walking distance.
