Loutraki in the island of Skopelos is becoming more of a holiday resort with every year that passes. The beautiful beaches here not only make it interesting for the locals of the neighbouring island of Skiathos, but also for tourists. The harbour is protected from winds, expect a swell generated by southerly winds and ship traffic. Boats moor stern-to at the floating jetty. There are hardly any spaces here, especially in high season. It gets shallow quickly towards the shore, the water depth is less than 2 m. Alternatively, boats can anchor in the south of the harbour at a water depth of up to 6 m. The manoeuvring area of the ferry definitely has to be kept clear. There are a variety of restaurants and shopping amenities nearby or in Glossa, which you can get to via a new tree-lined road..
