Description

Ormos Agnontas Bay lies to the east of Ak Myti Cape. This is the port of refuge for ferries when they cannot dock in Skopelos because of strong winds from the north. A bus then takes the passengers to Skopelos. It is hardly ever possible to anchor in the harbour area as the few spaces available are taken quickly. Boats moor bow-to or stern-to or alongside at the quay. The water depth drops quickly towards the beach, therefore be careful when mooring. The heavy swell of the express ferries has already damaged many of the yachts moored at the quay. It it recommended to keep enough distance and to use a trip line. There is a swell in the harbour when a west wind blows. There is a small tavern nearby.
