Description
The fishing village of Kalamakia lies in the east of the island of Alonissos, about 1 nautical mile north of Steni Vala. The harbour is mainly occupied by local boats and is bordered by a breakwater. Small yachts moor in the harbour where the water is up to 3 m deep, in some places it is very shallow. The harbour is very narrow and manoeuvring is difficult. The harbour can be dangerous when winds from the N, NE, S and SE blow. Alternatively, boats can anchor in Steni Vala Bay. There are some taverns and a small food store here.
