Ferries steaming in and out of the North Corfu Channel create a considerable wash so it may be wise to anchor off with a long line ashore rather than going stern-to a jetty if you are staying overnight
Ships and ferries can generate heavy swells here. Therefore, it is advisable to make sure the anchor holds well and, if necessary, to keep sufficient distance to the pier.
