Picturesque Marmaro lies at the foot of a mountainside and is surrounded by a lot of greenery. Marmaro is a part of Kardamyla, a former municipality on the island with a long maritime tradition. Kardamyla is divided into an upper and lower part. The lower part lies right by the sea and is called Marmaro.
Yachts moor stern-to in the inner section of the mole. When there is enough space you can also moor alongside, which is especially advisable when a south wind blows.
There are various restaurants, taverns and bars in the village. You can also stock up well on provisions here.
