Skala Patmou Harbour is a sheltered harbour, and not only when the Meltemi blows. However, it can get dangerous in the bay when the south-east wind blows.
Yachts moor stern-to on the western quay. Water and diesel are delivered by truck. The marina-like extension in the north-east has no water, electricity or sanitary facilities as of 2013.
There are a number of restaurants, shopping amenities and scooter rentals in town. If you have time, you should plan on visiting the monastery where you can also enjoy glorious views of the island and the sea.
