Description

Kardamena is overcrowded by tourists nowadays, especially in summer. The former fishing village with a harbour and very few tourists has transformed itself into a very popular destination. Kardamena is especially proud of its beach, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful in the Dodecanese, and its swimming area. The harbour is protected by a breakwater. Yachts moor bow-to or stern-to at the pier, which runs from the beach towards the sea. It gets very shallow towards the shore. The spaces for yachts are marked with yellow and white diagonal stripes, to be on the safe side ask for a free berth beforehand. The harbour mouth faces S and is protected from the Meltemi.
