Description

Aigialis Harbour lies in the bay of A. Anna on the island of Amorgos. The bay and its surroundings are still very unspoilt. Boats moor bow-to or stern-to at the mole or quay where the water is between 2.5 and 5 m deep. There are just very few berths for transit yachts. Due to permanent moorings on the bottom it is advisable to go alongside the breakwater. Ferries dock on the first part of the breakwater so boats need to leave enough space here. The ferry traffic generates some wash. Water is available at the quay. Should the spaces at the breakwater be taken, then boats can anchor in the bay where the water is between 5 and 10 m deep. The sandy bottom is holding good. A variety of taverns and a supermarket can be found in the town.
