Ormos Soudhas is the NATO southern base. You should check the firing range activity off the Akrotiri Peninsula before making a passage E from Khania. It is also possible that there are anti-submarine nets across the entrance

Approach

Approach by night is prohibited Take care to avoid the restricted area around the naval dockyard. The channel free for navigation is marked by two light buoys
