On very strong N winds the best shelter is in the S part of the harbour. There is a celebration at end of June, where fish is served

-if you come from SE at night, you will see the lights of helicopter landing pad on top of mount Kotroni or red lights on top of the aerials in Schoinia -when come closer you can see the lights of N. Makri's beach -along the day you can use the conspicious red hotel and chimney for a orientation
