Description

On the south side of the Pelješac peninsula in southern Dalmatia, located opposite the town Korčula, lies harbour Orebić in a small seaside resort of the same name. It is a good alternative if the opposite ACI Marina Korčula is occupied and also a great starting point for a trip to the south in the national parks Mljet and island Lastovo.

-watch out for rocks, reefs and shallows in Trstenica Bay NE of the harbour
-close to Mokalo hamlet watch out for the unmarked, sunken wreck 100 m long, lying diagonally to the shore
-watch out for reefs and shallows marked with lighthouses around islands of Stupa and Sestrica, SE of the harbour
-strong S and W winds create high waves in front of the harbour increasing the current up to 2 knots

-watch out for entanglement because laid mooring run very flat
