About 3 km northwest of the old town of Dubrovnik at the end of the sheltered bay of Gruž next to the large transit port of Dubrovnik, where the ferries, merchant vessels and cruise ships are, a small marina Gruž has settled. Should there be no place in the ACI marina Komolac, you can always dock here and this could be a great starting point for trips to nearby National Park Mljet and island Lasto...

Although the 40 berths in the marina Gruž have electricity and water, there are no mooring lines available and you have to fasten the anchor. For smaller boats under 25 meters in length in the last few years the berths became very expensive and due to the high volume of traffic on the main road that runs right behind the quay wall, it also leads to large noise. But the lack of sanitary facilities is probably the biggest shortcoming of the Marina Gruž. Despite these considerable disadvantages the berths are always occupied quite fast.
A bit to the south not far from the Harbor Club Orsan is the nearest gas station located.
Shopping in Gruž/Dubrovnik Next to a large shopping center, Gruž also has many smaller shops as well as the largest open-air market in the vicinity of Dubrovnik, where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, various types of fish and seafood. The regular bus service is also available to take you to the old town of Dubrovnik, which also offers excellent shopping.
Food and Leisure in Gruž/Dubrovnik Several restaurants and cafes are in Gruž, but with a public bus you can easily reach the center of Dubrovnik and numerous local restaurants and taverns with a diverse range of culinary delights to enjoy.
Watching incoming ferries and cruise ships in this transit port you could spend a whole day, but a visit to the Old Town of Dubrovnik is highly recommended because it is home to a variety of attractions and also a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO.
