Description

The Port of Novigrad is located in a recess in the south of Novigradsko More. The channel in the Novigradsko More is spanned by two bridges. Only yachts up to a height of 55m can pass. Novigrad is a small village with a quay, which extends over the entire eastern and northern side of the bay. Most places are occupied by local boats. Docking at water depths up to 4m alongside or "Roman Catholic" is popular along the quay. On the north side the water depth decreases and at the northernmost point it is only 0.5 m. Ships with more than 1 m draft should dock with the bow to the quay. The harbor is well protected from the winds; there is a risk only while entering from NE. During strong bora, the water is pressed out of the harbor and drops up to 1 m. Restaurants, a bakery and a small supermarket on site.
