Porat

The port Porat is almost entirely occupied by local fishermen boats. On the wharf, a few berths with mooring lines, electricity and water are available. At places, the water depth is only one meter. The harbor is protected from the winds by a breakwater, only during northeast winds can be dangerous. Entering at the NE must be careful. Porat has a Franciscan monastery from the 15th Century with olive press, a beautiful altarpiece, a small museum and a lapidary worth a visit. Several restaurants and shops are on site. The city Malinska is located west of Porat and can be reached either by boat or on foot.
