Description
The port Porozina is in the NW of the island Cres and serves mainly for local boats and the ferry to Brestova as a dock. Docking is between the local boats at water depths between 0.5 and 4 m on the east side of the pier. The harbor is well protected from winds from the west. Tides can occur due to the ferries. Since the ferries make it difficult to enter and there’s rarely a place in this busy port, it should be used in exceptional cases only. Restaurants and shops are on site.

-sailing regime in Vela Vrata: in passage between the coast of Istria and the island of Cres smaller boats should keep to coastal waters; larger vessels sail towards Rijeka following the mid passage, closer to Cres but not closer than 500m
-watch out for ferries plying back and forth between Porozina and Brestova on the Istrian coast
Ships and ferries can generate heavy swells here. Therefore, it is advisable to make sure the anchor holds well and, if necessary, to keep sufficient distance to the pier.
