The island of Cres

Cres is the second largest island in the Adriatic sea after Krk. A natural phenomenon is the lake Vrana, because it is higher than the surrounding sea, while its bottom lies below the sea level.
The main town of the island is also called Cres. Here is the only Marina of the island, the big and modern ACI Marina Cres. The city itself is rather quiet and thanks to the car-free zone leaves plenty of room for a relaxed stroll.

The elongated green island has many truely beautiful anchor bays to discover, especially in the south.

The cuisine of the island of Cres is rich in specialties. In every season you can try special culinary highlights. In the spring you eat lamb and asparagus, in the summer fish and salad, in the autumn chestnuts, geese and turkeys and in the winter cod, game and various nut cakes.
