Description

The port Kut is located directly east of Vis. In Kut yachts up to 5 meters depth can be docked with mooring lines. The northern part of the quay is with 2-3 meter most shallow. Kut is protected from all winds but is vulnerable during winds from the N-NW and during squalls. It can be dangerous during summer squalls due to the low quay and waves that are biggest here. During the season the harbour is usually occupied. In this case it is adviseble to anchor in front pf the harbour on 10-20 meters depth on seagrass. The ferries create some swell. Therefore, we advise to strongly enforce the lines and put the mast set up to neighboring vessels. Several restaurants, a bakery and a supermarket are directly in the harbor. Vis is at walking distance for any larger purchases (only about 10 minutes). Kut is the oldest part of Vis and most picturesque.
