The Nautical Anchorage Bobovišća is a good protected buoy field in the peaceful and ecologically preserved bay of Bobovišća on the island of Brac. The clear water invites you for swimming and in the evening you can enjoy your dinner in one of the two restaurants in the small village of Bobovišća. There you can also find a bar and a small supermarket.
It is important to know that the ...
berthing at the anchorage is organized in a manner that every vessel is moored to a buoy with bow, and with mooring for stern. This way, classic turning around the buoy is avoided and security at the anchorage is increased. Way of mooring goes like this: the bow of vessel is tied to a buoy, than you take the rope that is connected to a buoy and with it you take out the mooring for vessels stern.
Visited this mooring and it was my first attempt on using My-Sea App. The booking was made and it seems that it only included swinging moorings. The fee was paid but on arrival we took a position on the quay. The staff member assisted us moor up and I explained I had booked the wrong type of mooring. He was helpful and said it would be possible to pay the difference. A couple of hours later he returned saying his boss said we had to pay in full. This seemed wrong and unfair. My advice to anyone is buyer beware. The on site staff were well meaning and helpful but it is clear the management are money grabbing without due consideration for customer care. I would never suggest avoiding this place just don't expect any reasonable discussion when it comes to cash.
