The Blue Cave (Modra špilja) is located at the eastern side of the island. The cave is at its most beautiful between 10 am and 12 pm on a sunny day. The bright blue glowing effect is created when the sun's rays enter through the water and reflect off the limestone floor of the cave.
Use the dinghy with paddles inside the cave. The entrance fee is 50 Kuna per person in high season, 40 Kuna in low season (kids pay half), payable at a small fishing boat directly in front of the entrance.

Access
You have a few ways to reach the cave. First one (which I recommend) is to stay for the night in the Komiža town. You should depart from Komiza about 0900 because the best play of light in the Blue Cave appear from 0930 till 1130.
Another option is to stay in Mezuporat on Bisevo. You can also stay at anchor near the Cave there are 10-15 m. Attention for NE, E and SE winds.
It is also possible to make the trip on various excursion boats which depart from Komiža.
If you decide to arrive in the morning you have to reckon with traffic in the bay. There are a lot of yachts proceeding in all directions while theirs crews are exploring the Cave.
