Marinas in Croatia

The Croatian Adriatic is a real paradise for water sports fans. Accordingly, the need for moorings is correspondingly high. In 2018, sailors and motorboat riders can choose from over 60 marinas, although some marinas on the offshore islands are seasonal only. Due to the ever increasing nautical tourism, several other Marinaprojects are being planned or are about to open. The newest marina in Croatia is the Marina Korkyra in Vela Luka on Korcula, which opened in late May 2020.

Many marinas in Croatia are fully booked for annual moorings. This is especially true for the marinas with charter fleets. The further south you go the harder it is to get year-round berths. For transit berths (day berths) things look different. If the charter fleets go on a cruise during the week, guest marinas can be found in the marinas on the mainland. The marinas on the islands, however, are then usually well-attended and often already fully occupied in the early afternoon. A reservation is definitely recommended.

The service, however, is praised by most mooring owners. Mooring lines, electricity and water are self-evident. Many marinas also offer professional delivery service. This starts with smaller cosmetic repairs, goes on work on the rig or the machine to complete boat overhauls.

The maritime infrastructure on the Adriatic is very dense. Every few nautical miles can be found well protected moorings. In Croatia, most public-sector ports are also geared to nautical tourism and offer for transit yachts fully equipped berths with power & water supply.
