Harbors in Croatia

Overview about all harbours in Croatia

In addition to numerous marinas, water sports enthusiasts also have a large selection of harbors in Croatia. These public-owned ports have discovered nautical tourism as a source of income and adapted to yachts. So it is common in Croatia that the ports also provide berths with mooring lines, electricity and water. Prices are often slightly cheaper than marinas. However, the harbors do not offer annual berths, just berth on a daily base. Service facilities such as crane or repair services are usually also absent and the protection against strong wind or swell is not the same as with marinas.

The selection of ports on the Croatian Adriatic is very large. Between Umag in the north and Dubrovnik in the south there are over 300 ports or harbor-like constructions. Many of these ports are reserved for commercial shipping, ferries or local fishing boats, and do not provide berth for guests. However, most ports - and this is especially for the islands - also offer safe berths where are no marinas.
