Buoy fields and jetties in Croatia

Croatia is a true Eldorado for all types of boaters. In addition to a very good infrastructure consisting of numerous well-equipped marinas and ports, there are also a large number of buoy fields in the country on the Adriatic. Most buoy fields are legally operated. That means, the operator has acquired a license from the state or local government to deploy buoys on a fixed area. Since the Croatian state has discovered the boaters as a bubbling source of income, the licenses to operate a buoy field are quite abundant. Popular buoy fields particular along the charter routes in the southern part of Dalmatia are heavily frequented, so that the licensee certainly recovers the costs for the buoy field license. It looks different along the mainland or less popular regions. Here it happens again and again that no licensee can be found, since the costs for the operation are simply too high and the operation simply does not pay off.

In addition to the official buoy fields, there are in many bays Konobas, which have laid buoys for their guests. For guests of the restaurants, these buoy fields are very comfortable, especially as they are usually completely free of charge. But the Konoba owner expects from boaters that moor at one of his buoy, of course, a certain turnover in the restaurant. This encounters sailors who want to anchor and certainly cook on board, since the possibility to anchor are curtailed.

In addition to the popular buoy fields, there are also many restaurants that have built a pier with mooring lines directly in front of their terrace. Many of these jetties are almost harbor-like with electricity and water. Again, the operators of course expect a restaurant visit of the crew. The berth at the dock is usually without any charge except power & water.

Here you will find a list of all buoy fields, jetties and quays in Croatia.
