Description

Volos Harbour is the most important commercial port in Greece after Piraeus. Volos is more of an industrial harbour than a harbour for pleasure crafts. Therefore, there are only a few berths for yachts, and they are located at the floating jetty in front of the breakwater. Volos is a working-class and industrial town and therefore only has a few tourist attractions. Social tensions have worsened because of the economic crisis and the number of reports of yachties being robbed in Volos harbour has increased.
