Khios Marina

ndmarks south of the marina and the long-drawn breakwater can already be seen from afar. The entrance is very narrow and is further complicated by an offshore reef and shoals. You have to pass very close to the breakwater and then steer sharply to starboard to enter the harbor.

Along the 275 planned berths are currently mainly local fishing boats docked but one can always find a free spot in between. However, it is recommended to moor alongside to avoid the anchor being caught in already grounded mooring lines.
The Chios Marina has no infrastructure and hence no electricity, water or sanitary facilities are available. The area is raw and barely inviting - which is, however, good. Since no marina staff is present, no fees are charged.
The fuel can only be supplied with a tanker truck directly to the wharf.

Shopping
A few hundred yards south of the harbor is a fairly well stocked supermarket. Other services are offered in Chios, which can be reached either by taxi or a rented car in about 20 minutes. There are several supermarkets, which are distributed throughout the city.

Food and Leisure
In the immediate vicinity of Chios Marina there are no restaurants or taverns. You really have to go to Chios, where countless good restaurants, taverns and cafe bars are at your pick.
The old town of Chios is surrounded by a fortress wall which is still partially preserved and along the narrow, winding streets you will find many historical churches and buildings from different periods. You can learn more about the past and present of the surroundings in many museums and exhibitions throughout the city.
