Petra

Petra is a small village with a sandy beach below Cape Ak Kavaki in Petra Bay, in the NW of Lesbos. Petra harbour lies in the north of the bay, behind the breakwater. At a water depth of up to 4 m, boats moor bow-to or stern-to at the outer edge of the mole. Smaller boats moor at the waterfront. The harbour is protected from the Meltemi. Alternatively, boats can anchor off the village at a water depth of up to 10 m. Boats here are exposed to the Meltemi. There are a variety of restaurants and shopping amenities within walking distance in the village.
