The island of Symi is located in the Dodecanese directly off the Turkish coast. The town of the same name, Symi, is known for its pastel-colored houses that are grouped around the harbor basin, the brightly painted fishing boats bobbing up and down in a soft swell and the many ouzerias where you can enjoy your ouzo to the sound of the bouzouki.
In view of this gem, it...
is not surprising that the harbor is jam-packed and bursting at the seams in summer. But now there is relief:
Marina Symi has been built in the neighboring bay of Pedi and is operational since September 2021. The Pedi Bay cuts deep into the rock massif and promises good protection, especially from the Meltemi that predominates in summer. The Marina Symi is located on the north side of the bay and has approx. 30 berths with mooring lines. Electricity and water are available, but subject to a surcharge. Showers and toilets are located in the marina building. The depth is about 5 meters, getting deeper quickly.
