The anchorage is a strange place as it has been used as an exile island since ancient times and was something like Alcatraz for Greece in the 30's and 67-74 for political prisoners. There is a small pier that does not look very safe but you can tie your boat on the rocks with anchor safely.
It was not allowed to stay there because it was used by the Navy for fire practice but this stopped several years ago. These days a visit is allowed although the island became nature reserve to protect monk seals.
It is an interesting place to visit but a stay overnight is not everybody´s cup of tea. Not for shelter reasons but mostly for psychological reasons: The bay is a gloom place.
