The ferry harbour in Anafi is located on the south coast of the island. You can easily recognise it from afar when you see Chora on the cliffs and the small village at the docks. There has been a lot of construction work at the harbour in the last few years. The ferry dock and the pier are being extended for yachts. At the moment, the pier is occupied by local ships. Boats can anchor off the beach at a water depth of up to 5 m. The harbour is protected, it only becomes dangerous in the harbour when a south wind blows, generating a swell. The ferry traffic can also cause rough water. There are restaurants and various stores for making small purchases nearby.
