Description

Cavtat is located between Dubrovnik and the airport in the south of the Croatian mainland. Cavtat is always busy, especially in summer with a lot of package tourists and water sports enthusiasts. The port of Cavtat is located in the west of the old town, to the east of the peninsula Sustjepan. In the harbor bay is a speed limit of 10 knots. Alongside the port, at water depths between 1.5 to 4 m, yachts lay to the bow or stern. During summer the harbor is often occupied or has reserved places. Buoy field is set in the middle of the harbor bay and in bay Tiha, however, one can only be anchored here, the bars are only for local boats. The port of Cavtat is very well protected, although during westerly winds, it can be dangerous. Motorboats also enter frequently, especially in summer, bringing occasional tides or waves. The berths are jeopardized so keep sufficient distance to the wharf, place the lines and anchor chains well – strong anchor and durable masts are required.
