Tankerkomerc Marina Zadar in North Dalmatia is located some 10 km from Zadar Airport. The proximity to the Zadar archipelago and to the Kornati islands makes it an ideal starting point for sailing trips there.
The marina is open all year round and is a home port for several charter companies. Therefore, it does get loud and crowded here especially at the weekends. The narrow harbour basin,...
the declining water depth in the rear part of the marina and the large ferries at the town quay opposite, which at times make entering the harbour difficult, reinforce the somewhat chaotic situation.
Tankerkomerc Marina Zadar has 300 berths, all of which have water and electricity, and an additional 150 dry berths. There are more berths for mega-yachts at the breakwater.
The sanitary facilities with showers and WCs are in the office building and were renovated in 2007. But you will have to expect queues at peak times, as is always the case at charter home bases.
There are plenty of parking spaces in and on the large car park right next to the office building.
The fuel station at Tankerkomerc Marina Zadar lies opposite the town quay and has two jetties. However, yachts can only obtain fuel at the jetty located right in front of the fuel station building. The other jetty at the marina entrance is reserved for fishing boats. You will have to expect waiting times of up to two hours especially at the weekends because of the high number of visitors. The fuel prices are often inflated. Shopping in Zadar Marina Zadar only has a specialised store for nautical equipment. However, the centre of town is close by and there are excellent shopping amenities. You will find several supermarkets, bakeries, butcher's shops and at the southern harbour there is a daily fruit, vegetable and fish market.
Food and leisure in Zadar The cosy restaurant and the café-bar in the marina are located on the water front and visitors not only enjoy their Dalmatian specialities here, but also the glorious views of the historic centre and the harbour basin. There are numerous restaurants and cafés in the alleys in the historic centre.
The centre of Zadar with its numerous historic places of interest is worth visiting, in particular the sea organ and the light installation “Greetings to the sun” created by the architect Nikola Bašić and located on the waterfront. And if you are feeling lucky, then you can visit the marina's own casino.
