Split is the largest city in Central Dalmatia and Split International Airport is only 20 km away from the marina. Especially during summer, it is well attended and then develops literally into a tourist mecca. ACI Marina is settled in the southwest part of the city, right beside the small Labud Yachting Club, which houses the oldest sailing club in Split.
There are 160 berths and 40 boat pl...
aces on land available. But these are generally occupied by all of the club members and a charter company and guests moorings are offered for space reasons no more.
The next opportunity tank is located in front of the Hotel Marjan, which is a little further to the north. During the direct drive-in you should take into consideration the unmarked rocks that are, at shallow water, only just below the water line. Especially on weekends at the gas station queues are expected along with longer waiting times because the ACI Marina Split is home port of many charter companies.
Shopping in Split The Labud Yachting Club has no shopping spot on its own, but in ACI marina next door is a well-stocked grocery store and a nautical shop; and in the historic center of Split, a large selection of supermarkets, bakeries and butcher shops are available. Fresh fruits and vegetables can be purchased at the beautiful market on the east side of the old town and the morning fish market in the west of the center offers fresh fish and seafood.
Food and Leisure in Split The nearby ACI Marina has a restaurant and a snack bar. More choices are in the center of Split, which is home to have a variety of excellent restaurants, pizzerias and coffee bars. While strolling through the many alleys and streets of the historic old town of Split, which was included in the World Heritage by UNESCO in the 70’s of the last century, one discovers many interesting things. Especially the Diocletian's Palace from the Roman period is worth a visit and also the many galleries and museums in the city that offer some interesting works of art.
