The Marina Martinis Marchi or also called Marina Maslinica is located on the west side of the island of Solta in Middle Dalmatia and part of the Martinis Marchi heritage hotels system. After an elaborate expansion and renovation, it was opened at the start of season of 2012. Marina is currently only open between early April and late October but an extension to the year-round marina is planned. ...
Although the Marina Maslinica is very well protected by its location in a bay and an additional breakwater, Bora and the southeast wind may nevertheless cause a wave formation in the port area. The inside pier has 50 berths for yachts up to 30 meters in length and on the outside of the breakwater up to 7 mega yachts can dock. All berths have electricity and water supply available. Boats with deeper draft should, however, when equipped, ensure that the water depth decreases significantly towards the end of the dock. The toilets are just like the Marina: up-to-date and are very well maintained. A few parking spaces are along the west road of the castle and the next available opportunity to tank is located in Rogač on the north side of the island.
The marina also offers up to 15 o’clock moorings on an hourly basis. Those staying under an hour can stay free of charge.
Shopping in Maslinica Far from marina Maslinica is a small self-service store, which is quite well sorted and also has fresh baked goods. A fruit and vegetable stand complements the shopping in the village Maslinica.
Food and Leisure in Maslinica Right on the marina key is the old Martinis Marchi castle, which was renovated in 2002 and now serves as a luxury hotel, which also includes an exclusive restaurant. Slightly cheaper but not as quality alternatives are the restaurants and cafes around the harbor area.
Maslinica is a sleepy little fishing village, which consists of many old stone buildings and old fisherman houses and its castle at the port built in the 18th Century was originally intended as a defense against pirates.
