Located in Central Dalmatia, on the north side of the island Hvar, lies a small ACI Marina Vrboska. It is well protected in a fjord-like bay, just outside the town harbor, and has harmoniously adapted to the environment. Only very strong Jugo from the southeast can cause some openings. If this wind lasts longer, the water level can rise by up to 2 meters and it is threatening to flood parts of the...
town. The drive-in of the bay is easy, and the entrance is well marked by a light on the north side. After a few hundred meters you will reach the marina on the left side of the bay. 125 year-round berths and 25 dry berths that offer all the services and facilities of a modern marina are here available.
The toilets in the main building of the ACI Marina Vrboska are modern and well-maintained. Around the harbor there are a few parking spaces and next to the crane is the gas station, but it is often only open in the morning and even closed on Sundays.
Shopping in Vrboska The ACI Marina Vrboska has no own shopping but the village is just 300 meters away and all services such as food and grocery stores or bakeries are available there. You can also buy irresistible fish marinades and pickled anchovies which the place is famous for.
Food and Leisure in Vrboska In the close vicinity of the marina restaurant are some good and recommended restaurants and taverns with cheap but delicious meals.
The attractive small resort Vrboska has some historical sights to offer along its alleys and streets. A collection of the most important cultural treasures of the island of Hvar are among others in the Church of St. Lawrence, and many buildings still bear the scorch marks of the revolutions during the 16th Century. Also interesting is the small fishing museum and in the marina there is a motorcycle, bicycle and car rental for exploring the surrounding area.
