Description

When the Meltemi blows, caution is recommended on the entire southern side of Tinos. The wind can increase here by 1-2 Bft. This needs to be taken into consideration when approaching the harbour. The ferry and commercial port can offer sheltered berths for a few yachts and they are located in the northern harbour basin between the commercial and ferry port. Boats also have to watch out for a chain lying on the seabed where anchors can get caught. There are various taverns, cafés, stores to stock up on provisions as well as a few nautical service providers in the area surrounding the harbour.
