ACI marina Korcula is getting a new breakwater in the season 2021. During the construction no online berths for visitors will be available.
ACI Marina Korčula is located in a sheltered bay not far from the historic centre of Korčula on the island of the same name in south Dalmatia. It is an ideal sta...
rting point for sailing trips to the national parks of Lastovo and Mljet, both of which lie south of the island. The approach to the marina from the east is made difficult, however, by some small islands and rocks, and therefore you should only sail here during the day. There are no problems from other directions.
ACI Marina Korčula is open all year round and has 150 berths, all of which have water and electricity. There are an additional 15 dry berths for boats. However, the marina is often full by early afternoon.
The outer berths may experience a heavy swell when ferries sail by or when the Bora blows, therefore you should make sure not to moor too closely to the mole and to secure the mooring lines tightly.
The showers and WCs in the sanitary facilities are simple yet well-kept and clean.
There are only a few parking spaces around the main office building. The closest fuel station is next to the ferry terminal half a nautical mile away.
Shopping in Korčula ACI Marina Korčula has a supermarket and a chandlery. More shopping amenities can be found in the historic centre of Korčula where you will find a supermarket, smaller stores as well as a bakery and a butcher's shop. Fruit and vegetables can be bought at the market place located between the marina and the historic centre.
Food and leisure in Korčula ACI Marina Korčula has a restaurant in its main office building. There are also many good restaurants, konobas and café-bars in the historic centre, serving good fish dishes as well as typical regional and international dishes.
The historic centre of Korčula is one of the best well-preserved historic towns in Croatia. When taking a stroll through the picturesque nooks and alleyways, visitors will discover many places of attraction from the Middle Ages or even Roman times.
Sports fans will also find plenty of activities in and around Korčula, e.g. the swimming pool very close to the marina or the wonderful cycling and hiking trails.
Number of berths:150
Type of berthing:
Max length:60 m
An enormous swell is caused by bura or the ferries so make your mooring lines fast and keep distance from the quay.
Sehr schöne Altstadt Hafen gut gelegen, was leider ausgenützt wird
What I didn't like:
Marina in beautiful settings with awesome views of Peljesac and old town Korcula. Conveniently located (10 min walk to old town). Gets very busy with charter boats especially on Sunday thru Wednesday in high season. Make sure to book well in advance. Most yachts are refused entry during these days. If lucky, you may find a berth in outer pontoon, which may get quite uncomfortable due to wash from ferries/yacht traffic. A SE current usually flows, to be considered when docking. Not all berths have laid lines in outer pontoon so you might be asked to drop your anchor.
Power (63A 5p, 32A 5p and 3p, 16A 3p) and water available free of charge. Expect voltage drops (down to 200V) at busy times. LTE reception OK. Konzum market and Mueller convenience store situated close to the marina. Countless restaurants in old town as well as fine dining options. Very small chandler in the marina, although most items need to be ordered.
What I didn't like:
!BEWARE! Marina administration is trying to squeeze in as much yachts as possible during busy periods and this could result in awkward berth allocation. Make sure to stay onboard and watch out for incoming traffic during the afternoon (usually between 1500 and 1700 -or sometimes even at night) when many of them queue up at the entrance. Some skippers are inexperienced, careless and even reckless. Some of them show up drunk. We witnessed many boats hitting docks or other boats, we ourselves had 3 near misses during our stay. Stay vigilant and never assume that skippers or crew know what they are doing!
Some charter boats will have parties onboard until late night, therefore it could get loud and noisy at times.
Sehr empfehlenswert.
